Who says romance is dead? Everybody wants to feel romance once in a while. Maybe being too cheesy can be a turn off, but a dose of occasional strolls at the beach and candlelight dinners cannot hurt. Dating can be more than memorable, they can be romantic too. Always be creative and original. Do not be afraid to be spontaneous with your ideas. A romantic first date can even be a good transition for people who met at online dating sites. However, never mistake romance for love. It will take more than just candies and flowers to start a serious relationship.
ADVENTURE DATES
Go on adventure dates. You do not have to bring your date in an exotic tropical island to have an adventure. Ask your date out on a picnic and bring a food basket that you made yourself. It may just be peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, but they will appreciate the effort. You can also explore local tourist destinations, museums or just go to a place with a view.
COOK FOR YOUR DATE
Instead of making a reservation in an expensive restaurant, you can invite your date to dinner at your place. Have someone teach you to cook an excellent dinner. If you have a patio overlooking a view, have dinner there. It is more intimate and romantic than having dinner in a room full of strangers.
GO DANCING
Dancing is a primal form of courtship. It is also a form of subtle communication. For a more romantic mood, go slow dancing rather than dancing in a bar.
BE SPONTANEOUS
Sometimes, the most romantic things happen on impulse. If you are walking by a lake, go rowing. If you are passing by a florist, buy flowers. If you feel that you are having a wonderful time, do not be afraid to admit it.
